How to get your podcast guests to share your episode

So you’ve recorded your podcast episode with your dream guest, it’s been edited, and it’s out in the world for all to hear… but what next?

A great reason to have guests on your podcast means that you get your episode in front of essentially two audiences, yours and your guest’s!

Here are some tips on how to get your guests to share your episode, so you can both get the most from their appearance on your show!

📣 Create templates - make it as easy as possible for your guest to share! You can then reuse those templates for each guest you have on your show.

📣 Check what would be easier for your guests - for example, if they don’t use social media, but do have a regular email newsletter, then you may want to share something they can use in their emails instead of an Instagram post.

📣 Share your transcript - having a transcript of episodes is best practice for podcasts anyway, but by sharing a transcript with a guest, they can use the contents of that for their own blogs, social posts, whatever they find useful.

📣 Use a universal podcast link - for example, a service like Podfollow, which is one link that will work across wherever people get their podcasts from.

Essentially, the easier you make it for your guests, the likelier they are to share!
